Board of Directors

Whetstone Valley Electric has nine districts within our territory borders.

At the Annual Meeting each spring, three Directors are elected by the petition process. Each Director represents one of the nine territories and serves a three year term on the Board. The Board holds regular meetings monthly and special meetings as needed. For 2009, WVEC is collecting director petitions for districts 3,4 and 6. Board members are given the opportunity to meet many new individuals, form lasting friendships, exercise leadership ability and make a difference in the local cooperative and community. Sadly, WVEC announces the loss of our beloved Director, Norman Moldenhauer. WVEC Board of Directors are working according to the bylaws to fill Norman's position on the board.

The Board of Directors act as trustees for the Cooperative. They review financial reports, work plans, audits, and formulate, and approve policies and guidelines for the Cooperative.
